This blog is an attempt to reminisce my memoirs of Nilgiris.
Twenty years have gone since my first experience with Upper Bhavani, the ultimate beauty on earth, at least to me and some other souls sharing my views.
To commemorate the completion of twenty years, I am once again going to Upper Bhavani for a 3-day visit, of course, along with my childhood friend Sekar who introduced me to Upper Bhavani way back in December 1999. The memories are still afresh as if it were yesterday. Both of us have been visiting and trekking in and around Upper Bhavani during the final week of every year for the past 6 years without fail. However, I am now a regular trekker in the Upper Bhavani, Avalanche, Parsn Valley, and Western Catchment regions of Mukurthi National Park for the past 20 years and might have breached easily the 3-figure mark of my total treks there (I stopped counting way back in 1996).
